54. Hauptversammlung der Sportfliegergruppe Kondor
Auch heuer hat die Sportfliegergruppe Kondor, nunmehr zum 54. Mal, die ordentliche Hauptversammlung den Statuten entsprechend durchgeführt. Als Veranstaltungsort stand auch diesmal wieder das Gasthaus zum Engelhardt in Fohnsdorf zur Verfügung, dessen Team so ausgezeichnet wie jedes Mal für das leibliche Wohl der Kondorianer sorgte. Ein herzlicher Dank gilt aber auch allen Mitgliedern, welche so zahlreich erschienen sind!
Und somit darf man sich auf eine weitere, hoffentlich wie bisher unfallfreie, erfolgreiche Flugsaison 2013 freuen und allen Mitgliedern ein herzliches „Glück ab – gut Land“ wünschen!

Nach einer unglücklicherweise länger andauernden Flugpause, ist unsere OE-AIO wieder voll Einsatzbereit! Durch den großartigen Einsatz unserer Reparaturmannschaft, unter der Leitung von Gerhard Weitenthaler, konnten in vielen Arbeitsstunden, alle Mängel und Probleme behoben werden. Zusätzlich zu den Reparaturarbeiten, hat unser Arbeitstier auch noch einige Verschönerungen sowohl am Kabieneninterieur, als auch an der Außenhaut bekommen.

Wir alle wissen, dass es bei der Ausübung unseres Hobbys nicht immer zu dem geplanten oder gewünschten Ausgang eines Fluges kommt. Manchmal gibt es eine Störung, ein Servo versagt, eine Böe erfasst das Modell, aber auch Pilot Error ist eine Möglichkeit ein Modell zu verlieren. Natürlich sollte man beim Betreiben seines Modells immer aufmerksam sein, um Verletzungen möglichst zu vermeiden. Aber denken wir nur einmal an die vielen vergangenen Stunden beim Modellfliegen zurück. Wer hat sich nicht schon einmal, wegen einer kleinen Unachtsamkeit an einem laufenden Propeller verletzt? Zumeist betreffen solche Unachtsamkeiten den Piloten selber, doch ist auch die Verletzungsgefahr für andere, welche nicht unmittelbar am Modellsport beteiligt sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Nach Unfall mit Modellflieger Ermittlungen wegen fahrlässiger Tötung
Stuttgart-Weilimdorf – Ein außer Kontrolle geratener Modellsegler hat einen 53 Jahre alten Mann in Stuttgart das Leben gekostet. Der Flieger hatte den Mann am Sonntag mit voller Wucht am Kopf getroffen, der 53-Jährige erlag im Krankenhaus seinen Verletzungen. Die Polizei ermittelt nun wegen fahrlässiger Tötung, wie ein Sprecher am Montag sagte. Die Ermittler gehen derzeit davon aus, dass eine starke Windböe dafür gesorgt hatte, dass ein 45 Jahre alter Mann das Modellflugzeug nicht mehr steuern konnte.
Der Modellsegler hatte nach Angaben der Polizei eine Spannweite von etwa zweieinhalb Metern. Er soll etwa zwei Kilogramm schwer sein. Der Unfall ereignete sich auf einem bei Modellfliegern beliebten Schuttberg, dem „Grünen Heiner“ in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf. Dort hatten sich am Sonntagmittag mehrere Menschen versammelt, um ihre Modelle fliegen zu lassen.
Die Ermittlungen richten sich nach Angaben der Polizei erst einmal gegen den 45-Jährigen, der den Flieger gesteuert hatte. Dabei soll geklärt werden, ob den Mann eine Schuld an dem Todesfall trifft. Bei einem tödlichen Unfall würden standardmäßig Ermittlungen wegen fahrlässiger Tötung eingeleitet, erläuterte der Sprecher.
